Financial Support

The Durham Singers is a self-funded charity, with all revenue directed to its 'charitable object' of promoting choral music and putting on public choral and orchestral concerts.  For our major concerts we benefit from the support of patrons, charitable trusts and other funding bodies.

A central aspect of our mission is developing the talent of young musicians in our region and this works on two levels. We invite talented young soloists from our region to perform with us in our major concerts, and we have also built collaborative ventures with local schools and youth choirs, giving them the opportunity to experience singing with a professional orchestra in a large venue.  Fortunate to receive funding from Arts Council England and other funding bodies, we value our diverse partnerships.  For this outreach work in particular, we rely on our patrons and other supporters who make a difference both financially and through their enthusiasm for our mission.

We are extremely grateful to the following funders for their support in recent years:

We would also very much appreciate the financial sponsorship of any companies for our future performances and outreach programmes.
